Debut product in new Manny Marroquin Signature Series

Audeze MM-500 Manny Marroquin Signature Series headphones

Audeze have announced the MM-500 headphones, the first product in a new series of powerful audio tools aimed at creators and audio professionals. The headphones have been developed with eleven-time Grammy winning mix engineer Manny Marroquin, who has recently been announced as the head of professional products at Audeze.

The MM-500 are an open-back design, and feature a chassis made from milled aluminium that has been designed to be comfortable throughout long sessions as well as durable. Packed with Audeze’s own technology, the headphones usilise the company’s Uniforce diaphragms, Fazor waveguides and Fluxor Magnets. Audeze say this results in the MM-500 demonstrating incredible clarity and industry-leading low distortion.

Developed with a range of uses in mind, the headphones feature low impedance (18 Ohms) and high sensitivity (100dB/1mW), allowing them to be driven from any console, interface or laptop. Audeze recommend a power level greater than 250mW, with the maximum handling quoted as 10W RMS. Frequency response is a claimed 5Hz - 50kHz, and in terms of level the MM-500 will produce a maximum SPL of 130dB.

Pricing and availability is yet to be announced.
