This years Film Music Contest has officially launched, with all music and film artists able to submit their compositions and films featuring original scores. Intended for composers of original music for film, TV, adverts, and video games, the FMC is the largest international competition and awards of its kind in Europe.
Categories
Registration is now open for all four categories. The first two categories, Instrumental Music and Music for Film, TV, Ads, Video Games, are intended for existing musical compositions, films or videos with original scores. Alternatively, two new categories for this years competition, Film Scoring “Casino.sk” and Video Game Scoring “Die by the Blade”, give contestants the unique opportunity to score film and video game material made specially for the FMC.
Winners will be decided by a prestigious international jury made up of composers, musicians, music and film industry professionals working in Hollywood, Asian and European film studios, TV broadcasters and streaming service providers such as Netflix. Prizes
An array of hardware and software prizes are being donated by the likes of Universal Audio, UJAM, Meze Audio, D16 Group Audio Software, PSPaudioware, Soundiron, Image Line and more.
As new media partners with the FMC, Sound On Sound will be giving away a Digital subscription to each semi-finalist, with the winner of each category being upgraded to a Print+Digital subscription. One category winner will also be interviewed for the SOS global podcast.

How to register
Registation is open to all sound designers, bands, musicians, instrumentalists, producers, filmmakers, and videographers worldwide, with no age limits.
