Noise Engineering expand Alia platform

Iteritas, Cursus & Incus firmware variants added

Noise Engineering Alia Eurorack Modular oscillators Cursus Ataraxic Iteritas

Noise Engineering have announced three new additions to their innovative Alia oscillator platform: Ataraxic Iteritas Alia, Cursus Iteritas Alia and Incus Iteritas Alia. Each of the range’s models share a common 10HP module design, with different firmware versions offering a selection of oscillator choices.

With the release of the latest firmware versions, the range now includes six different oscillator types that each offer different tonal options. Any firmware version can be loaded onto any module via USB, making it possible to try out different sounds without swapping modules, and the company also supply swappable faceplate overlays that allow users to match the front panel to the currently loaded firmware.

Two of the new releases, Cursus Iteritas and Ataraxic Iteritas, offer revamped versions of previous modules, delivering an almost identical sound but with improved encoder tuning, a sub-oscillator output and a new Hold button. Incus Iteritas, however, is an all-new design that offers percussive and melodic sounds using a combination of wavemorphing, additive and FM synthesising, with three different algorithms all controlled by an internal dynamics envelope. The company say that it is capable of synthesising drum parts as well as being put to work on bass and melody duties.

Pricing & Availability

Ataraxic Iteritas Alia, Cursus Iteritas Alia and Incus Iteritas Alia are available now, priced at $385. Owners of existing Alia modules can try out all of the new firmware options on their own modules, free of charge, by accessing the Noise Engineering Customer Portal.
