DO-F card for Fat Track & M1F
TL Audio have made available a Firewire upgrade card for their M1 and Fat Track products. It’s called the DO-F, and it gives the user access to all inputs and outputs of the hardware in use, so they can route signals to and from them in DAW software.
It carries A-D/D-A converters capable of operating at sample rates up to 24-bit/96kHz, and connects to computer via a single Firewire 400 cable. According to the manufacturers, it works with plug-and-play operation on Apple Macs, requiring the installation a provided driver on a Windows XP- or Vista-compatible PC.
It’s important to note that owners of current M1 mixers won’t be able to use the card in their desks; the DO-F only works in the latest ‘F’ revision of the consoles, which are also new. Apart from the Firewire card compliance, the M1F has a modified master section that now includes a mono sum button and master inserts.
