Toontrack’s line of EZKeys sample libraries offer a total of 16 piano and keyboard instruments, all of which incorporate a number of MIDI performance features that aim to assist the songwriting process. In addition to the instruments themselves, the company also offer a range of themed MIDI expansion packs filled with a selection of chord progressions and musical phrases. Their latest offering, EZKeys Fantasy, provides a collection of MIDI parts inspired by scores and soundtracks that fall under the fantasy genre.
The parts provided in the pack have been performed by a professional session player, and are intended for use with any of the company’s collection of piano or keyboard-based instruments. They are played with a straight feel with variations in 3/4, 4/4, and 5/4 time signatures included, and are offered at tempos ranging from 65 to 131 BPM. Helpfully, all of the content is organised by song section, with Intro, Main Theme, Bridge, and Outro folders provided.
