Yamaha DM3

Yamaha have released the DM3 Series of digital mixing consoles, two new compact format mixers aimed at professional users. The series includes the DM3 and DM3 Standard, which are identical except for the provision of 16 channels of Dante networking with the DM3.

The DM3 mixers both feature 16 mono, one stereo and two FX Return input mixing channels, and six Mix Send, two FX Send, one stereo and two matrix output mixing channels. Operating at sample rates up to 96kHz, the consoles include 18 types of effects, and GEQ on Mix channels 1-6 and Stereo channels. They can also function as 18-in/ 18-out audio interfaces via a USB connection.

The Yamaha DM3, measuring 320 mm × 455 mm × 140 mm and weighing 6.5kg, includes eight full-size channel faders plus a master fader onto its compact chassis, as well as a 9-inch touchscreen, which is used for most of the console’s functions. Users can customise the DM3’s display with options for multiple languages for channel names and a choice of light or dark display backgrounds.
