As well as regularly introducing new instruments, both virtual and physical, Arturia occasionally treat some of their existing offerings to limited-edition runs that come in interesting new colour schemes. The latest instrument to arrive sporting a fresh lick of paint is the MicroBrute UFO, a refreshed version of the company’s ever-popular compact analogue monosynth.
Everything that made the original instrument so popular remains in place, including its ‘gritty’ tone, patchable mod matrix, in-depth sequencing and, of course, its compact format. The new UFO version brings with it an all-black design that extends across the entire keybed, along with Martian-inspired green lettering and detailing — which even includes a graphic of a cow being beamed up into a flying saucer!
