Zero-G have announced the launch of two new cinematic vocal instruments that join their popular Ethera range. Created by sound designer Stefano Maccarelli, Ethera Gold Odyssey and Ethera Gold Atlantis 3.5 feature an Adaptive True Legato technology that intelligently response to the user’s playing speed, delivering seamless legato transitions for unparalleled vocal realism.
The company say that Ethera Gold Odyssey is “an exclusive sonic experience dedicated to angelic voices, where celestial harmonies and enchanting melodies blend to create a unique auditory embrace”. The instrument extensively samples the voice of soprano Sarah Mueller, capturing as much of her expressiveness and natural nuance as possible. Two distinct True Legato instruments are included — Angelic True Legato and Odyssey True Legato — each of which benefits from its own set of articulations. Odyssey also features a vast selection of vocal phrases, three Polyphonic Syllables Builder instruments that offer playable choral atmospheres, and a powerful three-layer Texture Designer that allows users to create unique-sounding vocal soundscapes.
Ethera Gold Atlantis 3.5 then brings a selection of new features to one of Zero-G’s most loved instruments. As well as an reimagined GUI, the 3.5 update implements the company’s Adaptive True Legato technology alongside a new Hybrid Vocals Engine and an expanded set of Hybrid Vocal presets. With an array of new articulations and syllables added to the 11 True Legato instruments and a streamlined library structure for effortless navigation, the update is said to ensure that Atlantis remains the gold standard in vocal scoring.
Compatibility
Ethera Gold Odyssey and Ethera Gold Atlantis 3.5 both require the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt version 6.8 or higher, which is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or 11, and Macs running macOS 10.14 and above. VST, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available, along with a standalone application.
