Excite Audio have introduced Bloom Synth Atmosphere, designed for crafting immersive soundscapes, ethereal textures and evolving ambient sequences. Inspired by artists like Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada and Brian Eno, this instrument blends drones, dreamy arpeggios, dream-like textures and lush atmospheres to create deep, evolving sonic environments. With over 250 professionally designed presets and the ability to import user samples, Bloom Synth Atmosphere provides an extensive palette for sound designers and producers.
The instrument features eight banks of phrases and one-shots, all synced to the project’s tempo, with white notes triggering synth loops and black notes introducing playback variations. A dedicated sequencer allows for intricate rhythmic layering, while four unique macro controls — Lo-Fi, Modulation, Width, and Submerge — offer real-time sound manipulation. Users can also refine their sounds further with a built-in sample editor, enabling playback direction changes, pitch and formant shifting and transient-based sample editing. The effects section includes reverb, delay and noise textures, derived from Excite Audio’s Lifeline Series, for added depth and dimension.
Bloom Synth Atmosphere is available as a VST, VST3, AU, AAX and standalone plug-in for macOS and Windows. It supports major DAWs, including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Pro Tools, and Cubase. System requirements include macOS 10.15 or higher (Apple Silicon supported) and Windows 7 or later, with a recommended 512 sample buffer size.
