In the age of the YouTube performer, simplicity is everything. Focusrite’s latest offering, the iTrack Pocket, is designed to let musicians quickly improve the quality of their audio when filming their own impromptu performances on an iPhone (5 and newer). The iTrack Pocket is powered by the iPhone itself and is small enough to be carried around in a guitar case.
Not only does it hold your phone at a good angle for filming yourself, but it also has a built-in stereo mic and a guitar input, which will offer a great improvement over the phone’s internal microphone.
Once you’re done, you can also edit your video and apply mastering effects using the Impact by Focusrite app, and share to YouTube directly. It is set to cost $99.99 and could be just the thing for musicians on the go.
