The latest addition to Roland’s subscription service delivers a selection of authentic recreations of Boss’ hugely popular effects pedals. With eight models available at launch and more set to join in the future, the sounds of the company’s iconic pedals are now available to DAW users for the first time.
Boss, Roland’s guitar product division, are a huge name in the world of effects pedals, with over 140 models produced over the years, and a staggering 19 million units sold! With the launch of Boss Effects Pedals, Roland Cloud Ultimate members can load up meticulous recreations of some firm favourites from the company’s current line-up, with a simple and intuitive GUI mirroring the layout of their hardware counterparts. As is often the case with such emulations, the plug-in versions offer some handy extras including input and output level controls, and the ability to sync time-based effects to the tempo of the host DAW.
The collection currently includes the following pedals: the OD-1 OverDrive, PH-1 Phaser, SP-1 Spectrum, SG-1 Slow Gear, CS-1 Compression Sustainer, TW-1 T Wah, SD-1 SUPER OverDrive and the DS-1 Distortion.
Compatibility
Boss Effects Pedals is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 12 and higher. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
