The latest arrival to the Tascam range provides users with a convenient way to integrate wireless Bluetooth audio into existing systems. Designed primarily for live sound and installation applications, the RX-BT10 is capable of delivering a stable connection at distances of up to 100 metres, and comes housed in a robust chassis that offers a range of secure mounting options.
The unit utilises Bluetooth 5.1 Class 1, which allows for a maximum operation distance of 100 meters in ideal conditions — as with all wireless systems, the performance is dependent on the surrounding environment. The front panel of the devices compact enclosure features power and pairing buttons along with a large volume dial, and there’s a detachable antenna and a port for connecting a remote pairing switch to help out in situations where the device itself needs to be mounted somewhere that makes a wireless connection problematic.
Around on the rear panel you’ll find balanced and unbalanced stereo outputs on XLR and RCA sockets respectively, while 15V DC power is delivered by an external PSU. A toggle switch allows for both stereo and summed mono outputs. It’s possible to secure the RX-BT10 just about anywhere thanks to a set of mounting points on the top and bottom panels, and the unit is supplied with a bracket kit designed for shelf or desk mounting.
