Waves have announced the launch of a new Creative Access subscription service.
Update: Having previously announced that the service would be replacing perpetual licences entirely, the company have now said that it will be available alongside the original licencing model for their individual plug-ins and bundles.
Creative Access
The new service provides users with the choice of two packages: Waves Essential, and Waves Ultimate. The former contains 110 plug-ins, whilst the latter will equip users with the company’s entire collection of 220 plug-ins. Both options will provide access to all plug-in updates whilst the subscription is active, and all new releases will added to Ultimate, whilst Essential will benefit from the addition of select plug-ins as they are released. Monthly and annual payment options are provided, and users are able to cancel their subscription at any time.
StudioVerse
Alongside the new service, Waves have also announced the launch of StudioVerse, an online community that contains thousands of presets for plug-in chains that have been created by professional engineers and producers, as well as settings uploaded by the community. A key feature of StudioVerse is the inclusion of a Musical AI search engine, which allows users to scan their tracks and be presented with recommendations for plug-in chains and settings that will suit their source material.
Pricing & Availability
Creative Access subscriptions are available now. Waves Essential is priced at $14.99 per month, or $149.99 per year, and Waves Ultimate will cost $24.99 per month, or $249.99 per year.
