Waves launch Gems plug-in collection

Waves have launched Gems, a new collection of creative effects plug-ins. These effects have each been designed with a distinctive sonic signature and intuitive controls tailored to each Gem. Users can shape vocals, add motion to instruments, and infuse drums with character and much more via a user-friendly interface with simple controls.

The collection currently includes 10 plug-ins and is available through Waves Creative Access subscriptions, with Waves planning more Gems releases in the future. Waves Essential subscribers gain access to five Gems, while Waves Ultimate subscribers enjoy all ten. Gems available in both subscriptions include RockVoc, which delivers vintage microphone tones and retro effects and Sunsets, an ambient effect perfect for synths and vocals. The Neighbor is a unique filter effect, and Liquid Glass and Fan Only add characterful sonic textures.

Waves Ultimate subscribers can explore exclusive Gems plug-ins like Shine Vox, a vocal enhancer for a bright, impactful vocal sound and Corroder, a tool for adding grit and grime to tracks. Other Gems in the Waves Ultimate subscription include the ambient soundscape plug-in Solar Drone and GT16 Mini, capable of adding vintage games console vibes to productions. The Pow! Gem adds extra punch, dynamic drive, and powerful subs to kicks, snares, toms and grouped drums.

Waves Gems are available in Waves Creative Access subscriptions. Waves Essential is priced at $14.99 per month, or $149.99 per year, and Waves Ultimate will cost $24.99 per month, or $249.99 per year.
