Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, GS Music are their home country’s first-ever manufacturer of hardware synthesizers. And for this exclusive SOS competition, we’ve teamed up with GS Music to offer you the chance to win their latest creation: the Bree6 Desktop.
The Prize
Designed for intuitive use and with a knob-per-function interface, the Bree6 is a six-voice polyphonic analogue synthesizer, boasting two oscillators per voice (one switchable between sawtooth and pulse, the other a square-wave sub-oscillator one octave below). Sound sculpting comes courtesy of a 4-pole low-pass ladder filter, while modulation sources include two ADSR envelope generators, an LFO with a range from 0.1-100 Hz, plus MIDI aftertouch and pitch/mod wheel data.
But that’s just the beginning: GS Music have gone to great lengths to make the Bree6 Desktop MPE-friendly, for true polyphonic control, and they’ve tested the Bree6 extensively with some of the most popular MPE controllers include the Expressive E Osmose, the Roger Linn Design LinnStrument, and moForte’s GeoShred controller software.
Finally, the Bree6 Desktop boasts a built-in effects section, offering a stereo ensemble-style chorus effect (with its own dedicated LFOs for modulating the delay lines), and a stereo delay with a maximum time delay of one second.
They’ve tested the Bree6 extensively with some of the most popular MPE controllers.
