BPM 2010

DJ and electronic music producer show at Birmingham NEC

Next month will see BPM host their fourth annual DJ’ing and electronic music production show, at the NEC Arena in Birmingham. The biggest show of its kind in Europe, BPM 2010 will be attended by a host of equipment manufacturers and suppliers, and will provide attendees the chance to try out many of the hottest products. The BPM show will take place from Saturday October 2nd to Monday 4th, at the Birmingham NEC

The three-day event will also see a total of 30 seminars taking place, with subjects such as DJ tips, production techniques (including mixing and sequencing) and the music industry being covered.

There will be a ‘Promo Exchange’, where you’ll be able to drop off your demo CDs for industry visitors to listen to and provide feedback on, plus a number of demo listening clinics, where you’ll be able to get constructive criticism instantly, from a panel of experts. Budding DJs will also get the chance to show off their skills at the ‘Play@’ stage, which will be hosting 30 minute DJ sets. To apply for a slot, simply email play@visitbpm.co.uk.

Tickets are priced at £10 each when bought in advance, or £15 if bought on the door. In addition to making a £5 saving, visitors who buy advance tickets will also be eligible for a free four-week trial of Sixpack, a digital music distribution service from CD pool that allows you to download six new tracks (chosen by popularity, as defined by pre-release charts) across four music genres (Chart Hits, Dance, Indie Rock and Urban) every week.
