Lynx introduce Mesa audio interface

Lynx Studio Technology have unveiled Mesa, a desktop Thunderbolt 3 audio interface that doubles as a professional-grade analogue-digital-analogue converter. Mesa is designed to cater to users ranging from home studios to commercial production rooms, and even live and location recording setups.

The compact Mesa unit houses four analogue inputs, two monitor outputs and dual headphone outputs with independent level controls. Its design includes a high-contrast capacitive touchscreen interface (borrowed from the company’s acclaimed Hilo 2 - read the SOS review!) which facilitates standalone operation. For added convenience, the included Mesa Control software allows users to manage the device remotely.

The unit also includes a MicroSD card slot, enabling the device to function as a primary or backup recording solution. Whether used for tracking performances, house-of-worship services, or live events, Mesa ensures pristine audio quality, drawing from the same engineering as Lynx’s celebrated Aurora(n) interface/converter.

Thanks to its combo input connectors, Mesa can handle mic, line and direct instrument signals, making it possible to connect microphones, electric guitars, basses, keyboards and more. Outputs are provided via quarter-inch balanced TRS connectors, while additional professional features include S/PDIF coaxial I/O, ADAT optical support and Word Clock I/O for synchronisation.

Compatible with all major DAWs on both Mac and Windows, Mesa offers a tidy workflow for creators working across multiple platforms. Its user-friendly design includes preset routing configurations for quick setup, a dedicated menu button for easy navigation and an all-mute button for convenience during recording sessions.

Price & Availability

Lynx say that the Mesa Thunderbolt 3 audio interface is expected to be available in Spring 2025.
