Shure have expanded their Nexadyne series with three dynamic instrument microphones, each designed to bring renewed clarity and precision for backline and studio applications. Debuting at NAMM 2025, the Nexadyne 2 kick drum microphone, Nexadyne 5 guitar amp microphone and Nexadyne 6 tom/snare microphone bring Shure’s patented Revonic Dual-Engine Transducer Technology to instrument recording. Read the SOS review of the vocal version of the Nexadyne from July 2024 for a deeper look at the technology underpinning the range's design.
The Revonic technology is the feature that sets these microphones apart from others, using dual calibrated transducers instead of the traditional single design. This innovation ensures natural, authentic sound capture with minimal noise pickup and less reliance on EQ corrections. The result is a range of microphones that deliver clear, accurate and balanced output, empowering performers and audio engineers alike.
Engineered with durability and stage-friendly functionality, the Nexadyne series combines compact, low-profile designs with robust reliability to withstand the demands of touring and live performance.
- The Nexadyne 2 Kick Drum Microphone is built for powerful, low-end clarity and attack definition while eliminating rumble from on stage.
- The Nexadyne 5 Guitar Amp Microphone captures the full spectrum of amplified guitar tones with a side-address form factor for convenient placement.
- The Nexadyne 6 Tom/Snare Microphone minimises bleed and offers crystal-clear frequency response, with a fixed-angle design and vibration-resistant drum mount for precise placement.
Each microphone includes a zippered bag and brass adapter. The Nexadyne 5 includes the A25E mic clip and the Nexadyne 6 includes the A6D Drum Mount. The Nexadyne 6 is also offered in a pack of three.
