Following on from the introduction of their 500-series modules, Harrison Audio have announced the launch of a new 10-slot rack and an expandable analogue summing mixer module. In a first for a 500-series rack, the D510r boasts optional Dante AoIP connectivity, and will soon offer a USB audio interface option.
D510r & D510mx
The new rack is being launched alongside a new module: the D510mx summing mixer.Harrison say that the D510 system follows their growing presence in the 500-series universe, which includes the recently launched 32Cpre+ microphone preamplifier, the MR3eq parametric EQ and the Comp compressor — all of which are based on the company’s legendary analogue console technology. Along with the rack itself, the company have also launched the D510mx, an analogue summing mixer that features pan and level controls on each of its ten channels, along with two independent headphone outputs that can be used to monitor a mix of 500 series modules, or any audio source on the AoIP network when paired with the D510Dante Interface — more on which below!
Dante Connectivity
A headline feature of the D510r is its optional D510Dante Interface, which makes it the only 500-series rack to feature an optional Dante interface, allowing for for easy integration into live sound production and studio facilities that use the popular AoIP protocol. When paired with the D510Dante interface, the Harrison D510r becomes a powerful hybrid production tool, allowing users to easily integrate 500-series processing into their mix bus, subgroups or channel inserts on a Dante-compatible live sound console. Users of hybrid studios benefit, too and can take full advantage of Dante’s flexible routing matrix to send and receive audio seamlessly across their modules.
