G-Sonique have announced the launch of a new plug-in that emulates a range of different valve-based saturation circuits. Valve System VA645 has been designed to react to incoming in the same way as analogue hardware, and is said to deliver a range of tonal characters while avoiding harsh-sounding distortions.
First up is an Input dial, which as you might expect, governs the level of signal entering the processor and allows users to control how much saturation is applied to their audio. Pentode and Triode knobs follow, making it possible to dial in a blend of two different valve emulations, while the results can be fine-tuned using a Tube Voltage control.
The character of the plug-in can be altered further thanks to a three-position dial that provides Modern, Old/Vintage and Soviet valve emulations, and there’s a variable Analog Hiss control for those who find the results a little too clean. Finally, the signal passes through a high-pass filter before arriving at the Output Volume control.
Compatibility
Valve System VA645 is supported on PCs running Windows XP and above, and is available as a VST plug-in.
