Casio have announced three upcoming models that will join their Privia digital piano range, the PX-S7000, PX-S6000 and PX-S5000. Equipped with an improved feature set and boasting a new, modern aesthetic, the new instruments promise to deliver an all-new premium playing experience.
All three of the models within the range are equipped with a range of on-board sounds, which deliver enhanced realism thanks to acoustic simulation technology which offers string and damper resonance along with key action and damper noise. Each of the models are also supplied with a WU-BT10 adapter which equips the instruments with Bluetooth audio streaming and wireless MIDI capability.
PX-S7000
The flagship PX-S7000 features a built-in stand and integrated pedals, and is equipped with a new hybrid keyboard design made from both wood and resin. The piano also benefits from a new keyboard mechanism, which Casio say allows the instrument to deliver an expressive and natural touch, from soft to strong keystrokes. A total of 400 on-board tones are included, ranging from grand, upright and electric pianos, though to drum sounds.
The instrument is equipped with four built-in speakers, each of which output individually adjusted elements of the on-board sounds, combining to produce a natural and realistic tone. Users are also able to choose an acoustic setting depending on the piano’s placement within a room, the PX-S7000 will then adjust its output accordingly. Options are available for placement near a wall, in the centre of a room, or on a table.
The PX-S7000 is available with three finish options: Black, White, and a deep yellow ‘Harmonious Mustard’.
PX-S6000
The PX-S6000 features the same keyboard and sound system as the flagship model, but with a more portable design. A stand is available as an optional extra, and a separate pedal unit is included in place of the PX-S7000’s integrated design. A similar range of sounds are on offer, with the instrument boasting a total count of 350 options.
The PX-S6000 sports a gloss black and walnut wood grain finish.
PX-S5000
The PX-S5000 also offers a high-quality part wood and resin keyboard, and features the same Smart Hybrid Hammer Action keyboard as the previous PX-S1100/S3100 models. 23 built-in tones are provided, consisting of a range of grand and other piano sounds.
The instrument offers a clean and minimalist design, available in a gloss black finish with gold lettering.
