Amped Studio gains VST3 support

Online DAW equipped with new pro features

Amped Studio VST3 Support online browser-based music creation DAW platform third-party plug-ins

For those who aren’t familiar with the name, Amped Studio is a web-based platform designed to make music production quicker, easier and more enjoyable. It runs entirely in a web browser and offers much of the functionality of a traditional DAW, but with the significant benefit of being available anywhere, on any supported computer. The company have recently launched their latest update, which brings with it some significant new pro-level capabilities.

A standout feature of the recent update is that the platform is now able to host VST3 plug-ins, meaning that users can now integrate their favourite third-party effects and processors into their Amped Studio sessions. Using a new VSTremote application, users can seamlessly connect their plug-ins to the online platform, combining the convenience of cloud-based production with the power and flexibility of their existing tools. Alongside the added support, Amped Studio have also partnered with a number of top VST developers to offer exclusive discounts to their users.

“We’re building a new type of advanced cloud-based platform for music makers who want flexibility and freedom of movement and who want to level up as they learn, without having to invest in a whole new program. We let beginners become pros. We’ve made it enticing and engaged to get started making music, but Amped is fully featured enough to satisfy seasoned professionals, especially when they want to create or refine their work in real time from wherever they find themselves.” - Bil Bryant, Co-Founder, Amped Studio

The platform is also now equipped with an AI Assistant that’s capable of suggesting track ideas and improvements, or even entire new compositions in one of 12 different genres. Designed to shake up the music-making process, the tool aims to make creative blocks a thing of the past — Amped are keen to point out that all of their AI-powered offerings are fairly sourced. The platform also offers stem separation for remixing and experimentation courtesy of Splitter, an innovative tool that is capable of isolating vocals, drums, bass or other elements of a track.

Amped Studio works with Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Opera and Brave. It will not function fully in Firefox or Safari.
