Digital Village open in Clapham

DV team up with Gateway in London...
Digital Village, one of the UK's leading music technology equipment retailers, have announced a new store in Clapham, London. But DV's new store isn't another run-of-the-mill retail environment.

Digital Village are joining forces with the Gateway School of Recording, to provide a facility with professional demo and training facilities, alongside a large retail outlet, under one roof.

To celebrate the launch, DV are inviting SOS readers to the new store on the 15th November 2007 for a launch party. Everyone is welcome to the event, but to help DV co-ordinate the day, they ask that you complete the on-line registration on their web site and register your free entry.

Events on the day will include the following:
• A day-long (until 5pm) Digidesign demonstration with Tony Platt supervising the recording and mixing of a live band, using Pro Tools v7.4 and Eleven, Digi's new guitar amp- and cabinet-modelling software, amongst other things.
• An Ableton Live 7 Masterclass (starting at 3pm) with Huston Singletary, Ableton's chief demonstrator, showing attendees the new features of the latest version of Live.
• Masterclasses throughout the day on Yamaha's Tenori-On, the new "visible music" interface that uses an LED matrix to control audio.
• The features of the latest version of Cubase, v4.1, will be demonstrated throughout the day by specialists at UK distributors Arbiter.

Reason 4 users will be able to get top tips and tricks from James Bernard, Propellerhead's in-house demonstrator, with a Masterclass held at 4pm.

• And finally, Lexicon will be launching their latest professional reverb unit, the PCM96. The South London showing will be the first time it's been exhibited in the UK.

And if all that isn't enough to entice you to the opening, there will be free beer on the day! For more information, check out www.dv247.com/clapham.
