MPG Awards 2025: The Winners

Full list of winners announced

MPG Awards 2025 Music Producers Guild

The MPG have released a full list of this year’s MPG Awards winners following a sold-out ceremony at The Troxy in London, UK.

A. G. Cook was named Producer of the Year, recognised for his ground-breaking work at the frontier of electronic pop music with the likes of Charlie XCX, while fellow Dux Content member Danny L Harle was awarded Writer-Producer of the Year.

The MPG recently introduced two new award categories in an effort to recognise the importance of different types of recording environments. The winners of these inaugural awards were Guy Chambers’ Sleeper Sounds, which was presented with Small Commercial Studio of the Year, and Paul Epworth’s The Church Studios, which took home the title of Large Commercial Studio of the Year.

An emotional moment came with Woody Cook presenting his father, Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim), with the Outstanding Contribution to UK Music Award, while Paul Epworth received the MPG Icon Award, presented by artist and collaborator Baxter Dury, and MNEK was awarded Vocal Producer Of The Year. Guy Garvey then presented Lauren Laverne with the Special Recognition Award  in a moving tribute to her cultural influence and support for UK artists.

Make It Fair Campaign

Throughout the night, music industry stars hit out at the government’s plans to allow technology firms to use their creative content to train their AI models for free. Stars such as Peter Gabriel and Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim held placards backing the Make It Fair: Don’t Let AI Steal Our Music campaign which the MPG amended to include the slogan ‘Just Ask Us First.’ The MPG are demanding that music creators be given a voice on the matter rather than the decision being left to record labels.

“The 2025 MPG Awards at The Troxy was a powerful reminder of the incredible talent and dedication that drives our industry at a pivotal time. From trailblazers to future stars, the night was a celebration of the people and studios behind the sound — those who continue to shape the future of music.” - Catherine Marks, Executive Director, MPG
