Roswell Pro Audio have announced the launch of a new web-based shop that allows customers to specify their microphones with a whole host of customisation options. The Custom Shop Mic Builder offers not only a range of grille and body finish options, but also an array of circuitry enhancements and add-ons including pad switches, higher output levels and more.
Thanks to the new tool, users now have over 1800 combinations of cosmetic options, circuit modifications, additional features and accessory options at their disposal, making it possible to create unique new looks, sounds and functions. Custom colour options for the body of the mics are being produced in small quantities so that the company can offer new and different finishes from time to time, making the options more unique. Current choices include Agent Orange, Deep Purple, Imperial White, None More Black, Seafoam of Tranquility and many more, while custom grille options include Satin Nickel, Chrome, Matte Black, and Chrome Black.
It’s not just the looks that can be customised, though, as Roswell have also introduced a range of circuitry mods for their Mini K range. There’s a High Output Mod that can be used to kit the Mini K47 and Mini K87 out with a higher-sensitivity circuit, helpful for those tracking quieter sources. At the other end of the scale there’s the High SPL Mod, which adds a -10dB pad. Details on which modifications are available for each model can be found on the company’s website.
“We’ve been offering our customers a base level of customisation for a while now, but our new customisation configuration tool takes it to the next level. Customers can quickly put together various combinations right on our website. We then hand-build the custom mic to order, test and ship it directly from our shop in California.” - Matt McGlynn, Roswell Pro Audio Founder
The new tool is live now on the Roswell Pro Audio website.
