Spitfire Audio have announced that their BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover library, previously available for $49£49 including VAT / €49, or free to those willing to complete a questionnaire followed by a 14 day wait, is now available as an instant download for free.
Developed in a collaboration with one of the world’s most renowned orchestras and featuring the same professional and detailed recording process as the Core and Professional editions of the library, Spitfire describe BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover as a straightforward and inspiring gateway into orchestral composition. Spitfire’s innovative mode switching technology also allows users of BBCSO to share projects and collaborate, regardless of whether the own the Discover, Core or Professional editions of the library.
Discover features 33 instruments that span strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion, and a total of 47 playing techniques are available along with one professionally mixed signal. Housed within Spitfire’s own intuitive plug-in, the library provides everything needed for users to write great sounding orchestral music and is available in a range of formats supported by all of the major DAW software packages. Despite the extensive feature set, the library only requires 200MB of disk space.

BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover is available to download now. AAX, AU, VST2 and VST3 versions are available, with support for macOS 10.10 or later, and Windows 7, 8, and 10 (latest Service Pack).
