Acustica have announced the launch of a new and improved version of their Lime plug-in suite. Lime 3 includes five individual plug-ins that are said to deliver a classic British console sound while offering improved flexibility and efficiency.
What’s Included?
Lime 3 is made up of five separate plug-ins:
- Lime 3 Pre: a preamp module based on multiple analogue emulations.
- Lime 3 Bus: a bus processor designed to add colour and depth to mixes.
- Lime 3 EQ: a faithful recreation of classic console EQ sections.
- Lime 3 EQ Ultra: An EQ with extended capabilities and finer controls.
- Lime 3: a complete channel strip.
Acustica say that the latest version of the suite delivers an enhanced mixing experience, with their cutting-edge technology ensuring the plug-ins capture the harmonic richness and dynamic behaviour of classic analogue gear. Each of the plug-ins feature multiple modules, and boast a minimalist GUI that has been designed with ease of use in mind — Lime 3 EQ Ultra sports a 2D interface designed for those seeking a more modern look. Thanks to some work behind the scenes, the new plug-ins offer higher audio fidelity with reduced CPU usage, and there are Zero Latency variants provided that can be used in real time during tracking.
As with many of the company’s plug-ins, the processors in Lime 3 include some advanced monitoring options such as Mid, Sides and delta listening modes, while Lime 3 EQ Ultra is equipped with a detailed interactive graphic EQ display. The collection includes a library of over 150 presets that offer quick starting points for a wide range of sources.
Compatibility
Lime 3 is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or 11, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and higher. VST2, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
Pricing & Availability
Lime 3 is available now, and is being offered at an introductory price of €89 until 20 March 2025, when it will increase to €219.
