Emily Lazar MPG Inspiration Award mastering engineer MPG Awards 2024

The MPG (Music Producer’s Guild) have announced that Grammy-winning mastering engineer Emily Lazar has received the 2024 MPG Inspiration Award ahead of this week’s MPG Awards ceremony.

The prestigious award, sponsored by Audio Note, is given to a professional who, in the opinion of the MPG Awards board of directors, is responsible for work that has significantly inspired others. It has previously been presented to Imogen Heap, Nile Rodgers, Roni Size, Skepta, Damon Albarn, Sylvia Massy and Linda Perry.

On behalf of all at MPG, congratulations to Emily on receiving the Inspiration Award at the MPG Awards 2024 — a well-deserved recognition of your unparalleled talent and enduring impact." - Catherine Marks, MPG Director

“There is nothing more gratifying than being recognised by one’s peers. I owe my deep gratitude to the remarkable artists I've collaborated with, whose talent and trust have propelled me forward, and to the friends and colleagues whose guidance has been invaluable in navigating this industry. I am truly grateful to everyone at the MPG for this acknowledgment. Receiving this award is a profound honour for me.” - Emily Lazar
