Karno Sound Limited have announced that their SEPIA platform has received a PLASA Award for Innovation. The awards, which are known for celebrating the most significant advancements in technology and innovation, acknowledged SEPIA for its unique ability to integrate classic analogue outboard effects into the modern workflow.
The UK-based team at Karno celebrating winning the 2024 PLASA Innovation Award.Developed in collaboration with over 150 high-profile engineers from theatre, live music and studio sectors worldwide, the SEPIA platform is a modular, digitally controllable system that merges classic analogue sound with modern digital workflows. The company’s host system provides power, audio routing and digital control to a range of analogue processing modules developed by Karno’s Platform Partners — a collection of pro-audio manufacturers recreating the original circuits of their sought-after outboard gear — providing users with the authentic tonal qualities of their favourite equipment with the flexibility and efficiency required by modern productions.
The SEPIA platform currently features 22 designs from 14 esteemed Platform Partners, with further collaborations and designs set to be announced in the very near future.
