Top distributor promises product debuts and exclusive deals at LIMS 2008
LIMS 2008 will see two UK product debuts from Source Distribution. Firstly, Genelec's brand new 6010 active monitors will be on display along with the matching 5040 subwoofer (see the SOS news item here). The 6010 is an extremely versatile and compact two-way active loudspeaker system that has been designed for computer sound systems, audio workstations and other close proximity listening applications — even for domestic MP3 playback.

Its audio performance is impressive for a box just eight inches high. Frequency response is 74Hz to 19kHz (extendable to 35Hz with the 5040 sub) with a maximum SPL of 93dB. At just £199 inc VAT per speaker (£399 inc VAT for the 5040), it's Genelec's most affordable monitor to date.

Also on show for the first time in the UK is the Eventide ModFactor modulation stompbox, partner to the TimeFactor delay stompbox. Equally at home live or in the studio, the ModFactor is packed with 10 of Eventide's best modulation effects including Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Vibrato and TremoloPan, bringing Eventide studio quality to a brand new price point at just £299 inc VAT. Other key features include instant program change, real time control with 10 knobs, MIDI or expression pedal, tap tempo and MIDI clock sync and 40 user presets, unlimited through MIDI.

On demo at the Source booth this year will be a wide selection of Røde recording mics including the best selling M3, NT1A and NT2A models, and you'll be able to check out the complete range of Universal Audio and Sonnox plug-ins, and a comprehensive range of PreSonus recording interfaces. Completing the line-up is HHB’s new CDR882 Dual CD Burner.

The company will also have a voucher scheme in place that enables customers to obtain special show deals on key Source distributed products via a wide range of UK dealers.

So, while you're wandering the show floor, why not drop by to see Source, at booth F72.
