Brighton dance producers Freemasons (James Wiltshire and Russel Small) used Propellerhead Record to produce a remix Whitney Houston’s new single, ‘Million Dollar Bill’. Parts of the remix will be used alongside a live rendition of the song, to be performed as part of the X-Factor Results Show, which will screen on ITV1 on Sunday 18th October 2009.
In an interview posted on the DV 24/7 web site, James Wiltshire praised Record’s stability, real-time time-stretching algorithms, and stated that the emulated SSL 9000 series desk was “as close as I have seen, especially on the master bus compressor which makes everything sound wonderful.” Part two of the interview will appear on the DV website later this week, so be sure to keep an eye out.
