Enhanced speech restoration capabilities

Accentize dxRevive Pro version 1.2.0 speech restoration plug-in

Accentize have announced a significant update that brings an array of new features to their flagship speech restoration plug-in. Available for free to existing users, dxRevive Pro 1.2.0 enhances two of the plug-in’s existing algorithms, as well as introducing an entirely new one.

The two algorithms that benefit from the update are Studio 3 and Natural 2, which are said to offer better stability across a wider range of recordings while providing users with more effective high-frequency noise removal and superior resynthesis of missing low-frequency content. The company say that although the new versions will generally deliver improved results in all situations, the previous versions remain available in case of any instances where users prefer the original.

The update also brings with it a new algorithm in the form of EQ Restore, which Accentize say takes a different approach by focusing on spectral issues rather than noise or reverb removal. It is capable of applying EQ and spectral resynthesis directly to speech components in an audio signal, enhancing their quality while preserving the recording’s natural ambience. Unlike conventional EQ processors, it only targets the speech, leaving any underlying noise and ambience unaltered.

It’s worth mentioning that the new features only apply to the Pro variant of dxRevive, and are not available to users of the regular version.

"This new algorithm emphasises the difference between dxRevivePro and other noise reduction algorithms. An algorithm which does the EQ and resynthesis without removing ambience or reverb has been a highly requested feature and this is a thing which none of the existing products offer, as far as I know. This new release underlines our commitment to audio professionals to continue to add value to our products after purchase." - Benjamin Graf, Founder, Accentize
