Soundtoys have announced that they will be offering their PhaseMistress (usually priced at $99) plug-in as a free download between 1–15 November 2024.
As its name suggests, PhaseMistress is dedicated to creating classic phase-shifting effects, but comes packed with additional tools that make it possible to create interesting rhythmic modulations. The number phaser stages can be set anywhere between two and 24, with parameters for offsetting their resonance, colour and intensity providing users with detailed controls over the effect. A dedicated modulation section houses a LFO that can output both preset and user-customisable shapes, along with a Rhythm mode that can be used to create and store patterns, and an envelope mode that allows the plug-in to respond to the dynamics of incoming audio signals.

PhaseMistress is available now, and will be free to download between 1 and 15 November 2024. Users who download the free PhaseMistress plug-in will get a discounted upgrade offer in their Soundtoys account to trade up their PhaseMistress license to the Soundtoys 5 bundle.
